TEREA Japan, Indonesia and Malaysia price list with IQOS ILUMA device prices and the shop LINE QR code

How is the Indonesian TEREA range organised?

IQOS Indonesia's official page divides the range into three main groups, classic tobacco, menthol and clove, each offering different intensities. A capsule group, whose sticks are clicked or squeezed before use, sits alongside them. The page also states that TEREA are designed for ILUMA and ILUMA i devices only.

Japan also uses four categories, but none of them is built around clove.

The Japanese structure is compared on our TEREA Japan page, where Regular and Menthol are split more finely.

A capsule group standing beside the three main groups is a pattern also seen in other markets, even where names differ.

Which classic tobacco names does IQOS Indonesia list?

The classic group, with no menthol, has three names. Bronze is described as soft tobacco with cocoa and dried fruit. Sienna adds woody and tea notes. Apricity Dimensions combines tobacco with fruit and woody aromas and a creamy touch. All three put tobacco first, with no cooling at all.

Bronze and Sienna also appear in European lists, whereas we have not seen Apricity Dimensions on the Swiss or UK pages we checked.

Europe's tobacco names are covered on our TEREA Europe page.

None of the three classic names carries a cooling note, which clearly separates this group from the eight menthol names below.

Which menthol names make up the largest Indonesian group?

In the line-up we recorded, the menthol group is the largest, with eight names: Blue, Green, Bright Wave, Purple Wave, Black Green, Yugen Dimensions, Black Ruby and Black Purple. Each combines a different level of cooling with its own fruit or floral accent, as described on the official page. Bright Wave and Yugen Dimensions were not found on the Swiss or UK pages.

Their absence in Europe suggests these two may have been developed for South-East Asia, though that is not confirmed.

Two of the eight have their own explainers: Black Green and the purple names.

The eight names range from moderate cooling to the more intense sticks whose names begin with the word Black.

Why does Indonesia have clove editions that other markets lack?

The clove editions reflect kretek, the tobacco and clove blend that was popular in Indonesia long before heated tobacco arrived. The official page presents them as developed specifically for adult consumers in Indonesia. The line-up we recorded shows seven clove editions, among them Golden, Auburn, Berrine and Mulint, combining Indonesian clove with different notes.

Golden Edition adds fermented plum and Auburn Edition apricot with vanilla, while Berrine and Mulint bring in menthol cooling as well.

Why clove is absent elsewhere is noted on our TEREA Malaysia page.

These editions give the Indonesian list a character that none of the other markets covered on this site shares.

Do the clove editions include both menthol and non-menthol sticks?

Yes. Some clove editions, such as Golden and Auburn, pair clove with fruit notes and no menthol. Others, such as Berrine and Mulint, add fresh menthol cooling to the clove. The clove line therefore spans both non-menthol and menthol styles on its own, without borrowing from the other groups.

Intensity also varies within the line, from fruit-forward editions to cooler ones.

How menthol names are handled in other markets is summarised on our menthol TEREA page.

Readers looking for a clove stick without cooling should therefore check each edition's description rather than the group name alone.

Which capsule sticks appear in Indonesia?

The Indonesian capsule group includes Bermin Pearl Edition, clove with menthol and forest berry, Perint Pearl Edition, clove with refreshing menthol and garden fruit, Riviera Pearl, menthol with raspberry and floral notes, and Shine Pearl, described with menthol and grape. Each needs its capsule squeezed to release the extra aroma.

Without squeezing, the stick gives only its base tobacco or clove flavour.

The capsule mechanism is explained for all markets on our Pearl capsule page.

Two of the four capsule names combine clove with menthol, linking this group directly to the Indonesian clove tradition described above.

Which devices does IQOS Indonesia say these sticks work with?

The official page states that every TEREA in the Indonesian line-up works only with ILUMA and ILUMA i devices. It warns against using them in earlier IQOS devices or other heating families, which may damage the device. That matches the induction principle: each TEREA stick contains a metal element meant for induction heating only.

How induction differs from a blade is explained on our HEETS versus TEREA page.

The newer generation named on the Indonesian page is covered on our ILUMA i page.

The warning on the Indonesian page matches the guidance given for TEREA in other markets, so it is not a local exception.

Does an Indonesian clove stick fall under different rules in Thailand?

No. A clove edition is still a heated tobacco stick, and official advice says such sticks and the devices that heat them are not allowed in Thailand. Being legal in Indonesia does not change that, and neither does the flavour. We describe the Indonesian line-up purely as information about another market.

The Thai position is explained on our TEREA in Thailand page.

Travellers between the two countries should also read our Thailand travel notes before setting off.

Clove, menthol or plain tobacco, the Thai position described on our legal pages is the same for each Indonesian group.

Frequently asked questions

Do any clove editions contain menthol?
Yes. Berrine and Mulint add menthol cooling to clove, while Golden and Auburn pair clove with fruit and no menthol.
Does Indonesia list Blue and Green like other markets?
Yes. Both appear in the Indonesian menthol group, the same names used in Switzerland and the UK.
Is squeezing the capsule required in Indonesian Pearl sticks?
No. Without squeezing, the stick simply gives its base tobacco or clove flavour.
What is kretek?
The traditional Indonesian blend of tobacco and clove, which the TEREA clove editions reflect.
Which Indonesian names were not found in European lists?
Apricity Dimensions, Bright Wave and Yugen Dimensions did not appear on the Swiss or UK pages we checked.
Can Indonesian TEREA be used in older IQOS devices?
No. IQOS Indonesia warns they work only with ILUMA and ILUMA i and may damage earlier devices.
