What aroma profile does TEREA Blue have?

Official product pages in several legal markets describe TEREA Blue as rounded tobacco combined with deep menthol coolness, lifted by peppermint and a light creamy vanilla note. The structure is therefore menthol first, followed by a soft sweetness from the vanilla that does not overpower the tobacco underneath.

The Swiss and UK pages agree on the rounded tobacco and deep menthol. Some markets spell out the creamy vanilla more clearly, while others keep it short and mention peppermint only.

The wider naming system is on TEREA flavours explained.

None of these words is ours; they summarise official descriptions.

Where does TEREA Blue rank on the UK intensity, body and aroma scales?

On the intensity, body and aroma scale shown on the UK official product page, each out of 5, TEREA Blue scores intensity 3, body 4 and aroma 2. That is higher than TEREA Green for intensity and body, with a similar aroma score, so Blue gives a heavier tobacco feel than Green while its coolness is comparable.

These numbers are the brand's own published scale, not an assessment by our team, and they may change if the product or page is updated.

A body score of 4 shows that the tobacco base keeps real weight despite the strong coolness. The full menthol range is sorted on TEREA menthol.

What separates TEREA Blue from TEREA Green?

The main difference lies in the secondary notes. Blue leans on peppermint with creamy vanilla, while Green emphasises a fresh, leafy green mint. Both sit in the menthol group but head in different directions: Blue towards a soft sweetness, Green towards a brighter and more natural freshness.

Because of this, some markets place the two in different sub-groups on their product pages, even within the same menthol category.

Green's pack family is discussed on TEREA Black Green, and the Japanese mint variant on TEREA Mint.

Neither description ranks one above the other; they simply point in different directions.

What should you notice on a TEREA Blue pack?

TEREA Blue packs use a blue background as the colour code for this variant, following the colour system the brand uses worldwide. The variant name is printed clearly, together with the nicotine and health warnings that each market requires. The format of those warnings can differ between countries where the product is legal.

Colour helps you spot a variant quickly, but it should not replace reading the name.

Some markets use close shades for different variants, especially among menthol sticks in blue and green tones. Pack counts are covered on TEREA pack size.

Always check the printed name as well.

Which ILUMA models can run TEREA Blue?

Like every TEREA flavour, Blue is designed only for ILUMA-family devices with induction heating. It does not suit older IQOS models that heat with a blade, because the inside of a TEREA stick is built to work with the induction mechanism specifically. Every ILUMA sub-model takes it in the same way.

ILUMA sub-models differ in size and battery capacity but share the same induction system, so none has an extra restriction for Blue.

Compare them on IQOS devices and check the older family on IQOS 3 DUO.

Inserting Blue into a blade device risks damaging it, as the manufacturer warns.

Is the name TEREA Blue the same in every market?

Checking the official product pages for Switzerland, the United Kingdom and Indonesia, we found that the name Blue and its core aroma description matched in every market we could verify. That is unlike the purple group or the Regular group, whose names can vary by market, so Blue is one of the most consistent TEREA names.

That consistency makes Blue easy to cross-reference between countries. Line-ups can still change without notice, so check the current official page for the market you are reading about.

How do menthol and peppermint differ in the Blue description?

In product descriptions, menthol refers to the cool, tingling sensation, while peppermint is a herbal aroma often used to make that coolness more pronounced. The two words therefore describe different dimensions of the experience, which is why they so often appear together in the official wording for Blue.

When a description mentions peppermint without vanilla, that usually reflects a shorter write-up rather than a different recipe.

For accuracy, rely on the market that gives the fullest description. The capsule variants with extra notes are on TEREA Pearl.

Official wording is quoted as published.

Does the TEREA Blue profile change anything for readers in Thailand?

No. A flavour description is product information from markets where TEREA is legal. In Thailand, official advice classes heated tobacco sticks with the devices, which may not be brought in or used, and no variant, Blue included, is treated differently. This page exists only to explain the official wording.

The legal position for sticks is set out on TEREA and Thailand.

Anyone travelling with a device should also read IQOS in Thailand before arrival, since the rules cover sticks and devices together.

No flavour description, however detailed, alters that position for readers inside Thailand or for visitors arriving there.

Frequently asked questions

Is TEREA Blue the strongest menthol TEREA?
No. On the brand's scale it sits at medium-to-high intensity; compare the table rather than guessing from names.
What is the difference between peppermint and menthol here?
Menthol is the cooling sensation; peppermint is a herbal aroma that makes the coolness more noticeable.
Can TEREA Blue be used in older IQOS devices?
No. All TEREA are for ILUMA induction devices; blade devices need a different stick family.
Why is vanilla missing from some Blue descriptions?
Some markets write shorter descriptions. That reflects the write-up, not a different recipe.
Is TEREA Blue the same as Japan's TEREA Menthol?
Their descriptions are close, but they are different names used in different markets.
Where do the Blue intensity numbers come from?
From the scale on the IQOS UK product page, not from our own testing.
